Cannot open http files from outlook express 2003

We have Outlook Express 2003 and when we receive an email with a http link to
the internet, it will not open the link. We think we have ticked all the
right boxes to allow that to happen but to no avail. We have checked
everything we can possibly think of but nothing will work.

No such thing. You either have Outlook EXPRESS, or Outlook 2003.
In your program, do Help-About and tell us what you really have.
