Hi Otto,
my guess is that you still have the pre-installed Test Drive on your
machine, or that you tried to remove it and did not use the Remove Office
tool. Remove it by using said tool, which can be found in
Applications/Microsoft Office 2004/Additional Tools/Remove Office.
Note that one user has just posted that this tool cannot just remove the
Test Drive, but that it will remove the full install as well. In that case,
make sure you keep your Office install disc ready, as you may need to
reinstall it afterwards. Don't worry too much about reinstalling, though; it
is a fairly straightforward process, and Remove Office leaves your Office
documents and Entourage database intact. If you have any additional
templates in Applications/Microsoft Office 2004/Templates/My Templates, make
backup copies of these as the removal process will move the Microsoft Office
2004 folder to the trash. And lastly, after you've reinstalled, make sure
you apply all the updates that are available for Office 2004.
Well, as you can see, the Test Drive is the source of many evils, and
getting rid of it is not as straightforward as it should be. Sorry for
giving such a convoluted answer, and if there are any further problems, just
post back.
Hi
Receiving an office attachement I get an error message saying I have to buy
office. But office has been bought in installed. And all office applications
work properly when started directly from the dock...
Appreciate any help.
Regards, Otto
