cannot opening log file

Hi!
Does anybody know what was happend: when I try to repair my installation of
MS Office XP I've got the message
"Error opening installation log file. Verify that the specified log file
location exists and is writable."
and can't start CD.
If I deleted this file mistakingly how can I cure the situation?
