Cannot receive mail from ATT

I just upgraded from Office X to Office 2004. Everything worked great
in Office X and most things work now, but I can't get mail from my ATT
account. I've triple checked the settings and everything is the same.
When I dial up to ATT I can get my mail, but when I try to use their
"ipostoffice" mail server, I log on and just sit there.
Has anyone else had this problem?
