About 90% of the time when our users add a (Exchange 2003) delegate in
Entourage 2004 (11.2.1) they cannot see any messages in the account
they add. The problem is almost certainly with Entourage according to
our testing: I personally had access to a delegate mailbox, but then
removed the delegate. Upon re-adding the account (lookups of it
succeed), the connectivity was lost. That is, I'd been receiving
messages regularly just 2 days earlier from this account and now I see
no messages in it at all. Since nothing changed on the server end, the
Entourage client is strongly implicated.
The error message that Entourage supplies when we try to synchronize
with the delegate account is cryptic: "HTTP error: The resource is not
found." We have tried supplying all types of different "resources" to
Entourage with no luck at all. We've verified that the server is
reachable and pingable, and have entered its fully-qualified domain
name into the "Advanced" page under Delegates. This made no
difference. Per other posts in this group, we've made sure not to
enable SSL.
The weird part is those 10% of our uses for whom this works just fine.
We configured them identically to the 90% that fail. It is all very
strange. Any suggestions welcomed!
