Cannot send attached messages

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger)
Processor: intel

I cannot send email messages where the attached file is about 1 mb? This has never been a problem in Entourage 2004!
If I use Mac mail there is no problem - the problem is Entourage!
What should I do?

In how far is it a problem? What happens? Do you get an error message?

I get no error massage and when I push the send button the program respons shortly "compressing files" After that nothing happens. If I close the window I can find the message under drafts.

Go to Entourage>Preferences, Compose and disable "Compress attachmentsŠ".
See if that makes a difference.
