Cannot Send Email from Entoruage

I receive an error message when I try to send new messages or reply to
received messages:
5.7.1 Unable to relay for....
Explanation: Mail could not be sent
Error: -17099

This just happened today. I've been sending and receiving mail via
Entourage successfully for almost two years.

I'm using a PowerBook G4 running Tiger (10.4.3) connected to a Windows
Exchange Server (An all Windows office). I'm using Entourage 2004
version 11.2.1

I've verified the IP addresses for the SMTP server and I have
authentication turned on.

Any help would be appreciated since I can't get help from the IT
department in the office because I'm using a Mac.

Is it possible that the rules for relaying have recently changed on the
SMTP server??? I assume it's a distant SMTP server right ?
