cannot send emails to myself

using OSX
unable to send emails to myself- yet emails are on webbased email. why does this not work any more? useful as we have several machines.
hope someone can help?

Please be more specific. What happens when you try? Do you receive an error?
What is in webbased email? Who is your service provider?

Gmail for example, will not send messages to yourself, but they will be on
the server. I forget now what I had to change to make it work, but I can
send test messages using Gmail now. My suggestion is to check with your
provider. I also suggest using one of rules "spam from me" to make sure your
real test messages don't get caught by the Entourage spam filter.

Rule to catch your own emails

This catches the real spam where it appears the mail is from you and not
mail you send yourself. I like the first example. I haven't met a spammer
yet that uses Entourage for a sending client.
