Cannot Send Group/ Erratic Sending of Outgoing Messages

I have a group I repeatedly use with 10 addresses in it. I have now started
getting error messages telling me message cannot be sent using my email
account."The server did not recognize the recipients or the server refuses to
allow you to send mail" "Permit Denied" . I thought something was up with the
group but Ihave also been having increased difficulty in sending any
messages. It can take up to several minutes for a message to go out to a
single recipient. I have trashed preferences. Is any thing else to be done? I
am on a iMac OS 10.3.9

I was having problems with my Comcast account today after trashing
preferences to no avail. On another message here, I found the
suggestion to go to the Enhanced sending options window. Set SSL on,
Override SMPT
port to 465 and Authentication On.

It worked for me.
