Cannot stop saving sent messages

I just upgraded to Entourage 2004 and I do not like to save every
message I send/forward/reply to. I unchecked the Save Sent messages
but all my messages are being saved in the Sent folder. I've closed
and opened up Entourage but the same thing happens. I also rebooted
my G5 and still no good. Is there something I am missing or have I
discovered a bug? This is becoming a problem as if I don't remember
to empty out the sent items folder, I have a ton of email.

Workaround: Make an Outgoing Rule in Tools/Rules that deletes every message.

That will work but then when I want to save a message the rule will
move it to the deleted items. I understand using a workaround but
there appears to be a bug in Entourage that needs to get fixed.

I don't understand: when the bug is fixed, and you've turned off Save Sent
messages, how will this help when you "want to save a message"? The sent
message won't exist at all. At least now, with the workaround, you can go
fetch it out of Deleted Items.

Because with each email you send with Entourage, you have the option
to save it to the sent folder or to another folder. Having a rule set
up to delete all sent items on exit will delete this email. There are
certain emails that I do save in sent items. My take is that there is
a bug in Entourage 2004 that needs to be fixed. When unchecking the
save sent items should STOP saving every email sent to the sent items
folder. Of couse it doesn't. I do understand that until this is
fixed, a workaround is the only solution.
