Cannot stop send and receive - help!

D

Damian Coory

I use different accounts at home and at work to send mail because different
settings are required on my accounts for each location.

Sometimes I mistakenly try to send mail from home using my work account. It
won¹t send, but it takes ages to stop trying! In the meantime, I cannot
stop the process to open the mail and correct the ³from² address - I keep
getting the message ³mail can¹t be opened because it is being sent²!!

Basically I cannot find any function to ³Stop² a send. Putting ³stop send²
in Help doesn¹t bring up anything remotely related to what I am trying to
find. Does anyone know how to stop a send/receive in progress? I am sure
there was an easy way to do this in my old days using Outlook on a PC.

Command period is supposed to stop a computer process, but trying to stop a
send is almost impossible.

Get this script:

SMTP Location X 2.3
<http://scriptbuilders.net/files/smtplocationx2.3.html>

SMTP Location X sets the SMTP server for any or all of your mail accounts
for each location in both Entourage X and in Entourage 2001 in OS X. Even if
you have advanced SMTP settings, such as SMTP authentication or SSL, the
script will take care of everything automatically. You can also choose which
mail accounts to receive mail at each location.
