Cannot sync Palm VIIx with Entourage

I have updated to Office 10.1.2 and still get the message "the
connection between your handheld and the desktop could not be
established".

I am on OSX 10.2.8 , Palm 3.5.0 , entourage 10.1.1

I have followed all online documentation and repeatedly get this error
message. Could someone please help and tell me exactly what needs to
be in what folder (conduits) and how to set this up?

You need to update to Office 10.1.4 at least. You should also get 10.1.5
while you're at it. Then, when you've applied both, download and install
the Handheld Synchronization conduit.
