Cannot view message body of e-mail

Since upgrading from Office X to Office 2008. It looks like Office imported my identity and my rules for moving e-mails into folders. I had a problem with the rules working. I had to delete them and re-enter manually, I think they work now.

I am still having a problem viewing the msg body (text) of new emails. I can see the To/From of emails but nothing else. When I view source, I can see the text of the email, but not in the preview pane or actual view of the email...HELP???

Does this just happen with one email, several, or all? From one sender or
several?

It's not all e-mails, just some. I think it happens when the e-mails are either MIME or HTML.

either MIME or HTML.

Entourage is fully capable of displaying MIME and HTML, but it's possible
these particular messages are improperly formed or corrupted. That's why I
also asked if it was just one sender or several - it's possible one of your
senders is not sending mail correctly.

It's happening in all of my pop mail accounts (I have 5) and it's coming from multiple senders. I'm very fustrated...

I have the same problem. all of a sudden, this morning all my incoming emails stopped displaying the text body and attachments. the text is visible in the source, but not in the message window or preview. Please help

What happens if you quit and relaunch Entourage? If that doesn't help, what
happens if you restart your computer?

I have quit, restarted Entourage, restarted computer, reinstalled office, tried to download latest office update that refused to update on my computer for some reason. now after reinstalling office, I cant start entourage anymore and it tells me that rules are corrupt and when I press ok, it closes entourage. now it doesn't work at all. I've tried removing office completely and installing gain, still the same. now I can't even get into entourage. last week it took me several days to figure out how to stop entourage from crashing and I spent half a day at the genius bar, eve though it wasn't an OS or Mac problem. I had to upgrade to OSX and from Office 2004 to 2008 to get it working and now this.

Try going to Documents/Microsoft User Data/Office 2008 Identities/ folder
and rename the folder of the identity that you had been using. If you had
not created a new identity other than the default "Main Identity", then just
rename the Main Identity folder to something else. Then try launching
Entourage again. A window should pop up asking you to "Select an identity".
Click on the "New..." button and set up your account again. Hopefully this
helps...
