Can't access Entourage database

I am a new Mac and Entourage user. I recently downloaded some software
updates, and since doing this I have had the "Entourage cannot access
your data" problem. Rebuilding database has not worked. Curiously, my
wife who is using Entourage also but as a separate identity has had no
problem. I saw in help that some third party software needs to be
reinstalled after software updates. Is there any easy way to overcome
this problem or do I have to reinstall?

What third party software were you running before? You should not need to
re-install anything after an OS update.

If your wife is running a different entourage identity it points to yours
being corrupted. If you mean she has a different OS Login, then it is
possible that some support files have been lost or corrupted and a reinstall
of office is necessary.

I suspect that your database is permanently damaged. Try removing the
identity folder from the MUD folder and restart. If a new identity works,
then yours is hosed.
