Cant add a directory to a outlook shot cut group

I am using Outlook 2000 SR1

Lately when I try to drag a directory to an outlook shotcut group and then
click on the group it generates the following error:

Can anyone point me in a direction to solve this problem. The error is
generated if I have an exisiting directory already on the list and I have
moved the file, then when I click on it it bring up a panel to search. When
I click my way to it I get the same error.
