can't add clipart

W

When I try to add clip art to a slide, the "clip
art" "From File" Scanner" etc. options are grayed out. I
looked in the C:\Program files\MS office\media folder and
the clip art is there. I can cut and paste for now but I
would like to get PowerPoint back to where it was.

Using office XP in Windows XP O/S Everything worked OK
a few weeks ago without any issues. Any ideas what's up?

Thx

Wes

Wes,

I'd say check first your scanner is connected and setup properly. Does your
scanner work otherwise? Else it may some kind of permission thing or
something else someone may know aobut.

On your computer's Start menu in the Programs lists, do you have MS Office
Tools? If so, can you select that and see Clip Organizer there? Does it
open?

I'm wondering if perhaps you upgraded from Office 2000 to Office XP and Clip
Organizer didn't get installed. Office 2000 used the older Clip Gallery,
whereas Office XP uses the newer Clip Organizer.
