can't create a new appointment in outlook 2007

I have recently installed outlook 2007 and it won't allow me to create a new
appointment or modify existing ones. I get the following message:
"Them form required to view this message cannot be displayed. Contact your
administrator"

I have a stand alone installed with pop mail, not exchange.

Please help:)
