can't create new message

Just installed 2008 and can't create new email messages. when i click on the "new" link, nothing happens. Same thing if i use the pulldown menu and select "mail message." I can reply to existing messages, but can't create new ones. If this is a bug, it's a doozy. If have had a lot of problems trying to sync with iCal and Address Book for the crazy Blackberry workaround, so maybe that messed something up?

Test in a new User to see if the problem exists there. If you continue to
have problems, report back with what version of OS you are using and what
type of account.
