Cant delete corrupted e-mail

I kept getting the 4362 error message and all of my e-mails were
covered by a grey bar. - so I followed instructions for advanced
rebuilding of the database. Nothing improved. Now if I even so much as
mouse over the corrupted email in the list it gives me the error 4362
message. If I actually do click on what I think is the corrupted
email, it goes into an endless cylce of error 4362 messages. Lastly,
when I try to send and receive new e-mails, It seems to be downloading
old e-mails that were previously deleted???? I am desperate for any
solutions or ideas. Thank you for any help anyone can offer.
My system is: Mac OS X.3.3, Office X.

Your main identity could be corrupt... since there are no identity
rebuilding tools, you basically have to create a new identity and set
it up. How big is your database, and which version of Entourage is
it? If you're running anything before 10.1.2, your database limit is
only 2gigs (after the updates, it's 4gigs). If you send/receive a lot
of attachments, you could very well have a really big database.
Anything over either of the db size limits starts to make Ent. act
really wonky.
