Cant delete spam email

Hi,

Ive read through the topic very similar to my issue but am still having
problems.im running entourage 2004 and accessing my POP account.there's an
email that I just cannot delete and which opens itself every time I launch
entourage.also, when I delete it from the junk email folder, the email
disappears but the junk mail folder still displays "Junk Mail(1)".

Ive verified the database and it says that it's working fine(ive had to do a
few rebuilds in the past due to corruption).im not too sure if creating a
new identity would help, or what impact that would have on the account I
have set up (it's a work computer).

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Thanks.
Richard.

This is a sign of database corruption. If a rebuild does not fix the
problem, then you can try exporting your data and importing into a new
Identity.

Quit any applications that are running, including virus-protection
applications, all Office applications, Microsoft Messenger for Mac, and
Office Notifications, because they might interfere with rebuilding.

Diane,

Many thanks, a rebuild did the trick. I was just unsure of what was required
as it was a new variation of database corruption which I hadn't encountered
before.

Once again, many thanks.
Richard.

Diane,

Why does a verify not find errors that a rebuild fixes? It seems like verify
is not a very useful operation.

There is the background Verify and the Verify from the database rebuild
utility. The background verify is not as robust as the utility verify.
Usually it gives false reports rather than saying your database is OK.

It's just not 100%.
