Oh, man. I had this problem just this week, and it was a bitch to fix.
I did the usual troubleshooting things, but nothing really worked. What
finally resolved it for me was going to Start/Run and typing
Regsvr32 jscript.dll
or maybe
Regsvr32 vbscript.dll
Won't hurt to try them both. Notice the space between the 32 and the next
word.
And for what it's worth, this is probably actually an IE question, not an
Office question, but Office Online is the one site I noticed I was having
major problems with -- you, too, it seems -- and it wasn't easy for me to
find this answer for myself. I think I ended up typing "done but with errors
on page" (no quotation marks) into Google Groups and selected newsgroups
microsoft.public.*explore* to turn up some threads that eventually led me to
an answer. But it was not straightforward to find at all. So I really really
hope these do the trick for you.

I've re-installed OEM Office 2003 software (due to viruses, trojans, etc.)
but am unable to download templates from MS online site, esp. resume
templates. Bottom left hand corner shoots up a yellow exclamation mark
indicating a possible web browser error.
Suggestions for remediation?
