Can anyone help?
Anytime I have ever used any version of Word, I had the ability to
click into the active document to make a change while the spellcheck
window was open and running. This is helpful when the mistake is so
strange (or a space is missing) that the spellcheck cannot make sense
of the error. When this occurred, I would simply click on the mistake
in the Word document, make the change, and click on "continue" in the
(still active) spellcheck program.
Now that I have downloaded and installed SP2 (I am running XP Pro and
Word XP) this function is no longer available.
Is this a setting that was simply changed and needs to be changed back
on my end, a new security feature that cannot be altered, or one of
those "quirks" that come up from time to time?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Oh, and the spellchecker has slowed down considerably since I
installed SP2 as well.
