Can't enter anything in the password field

I'm trying to create a new Exchange account. I can fill in all the fields
except the password field. It looks like you are about to type as the
cursor gets in the field but as you type the cursor does not move.

I saw a few posts after googling it and found others have the same issue but
I have not seen a solution yet.

I am running Entourage 2004 with all the current patches. I tried creating
an IMAP account and the same issue occurs. There is already one IMAP
profile and one entourage profile.

I had this problem once, but I restarted the machine and I haven¹t seen it
since. Have no idea what caused it and couldn't replicate it again.
