can't find Entourage data to import

MacBook OS10.4.11. I lost my Office programs when rebooting during an
upgrade to Microsoft Office. I reinstalled Office from the disk, but
that just created a new entourage, while the old icon still appears
with the question mark on it. I cannot figure out where to find my
old data (calendar, e-mail, etc.) to import into the new entourage.
Also, my excel and powerpoint are missing. Any help?

Your Entourage data is in
~/Documents/Microsoft User Data/Office 2004 Identities/Main Identity
(substitute "X" or "2008" for "2004" depending on which version you are
running). If you created an identity, the name of that identity will replace
"Main Identity".

If you launch Entourage and it can't find that folder, it will create it. In
that case you start with an "empty Entourage". You will need to find a
recent copy of your folder (e.g., on your hard disk if you moved or renamed
it, otherwise from a backup) and replace the folder that Entourage created
with the copy.

If you don't find it as Mickey directed, then it's possible you have been
hit by one of the rare cases where you data was moved or deleted.

Normally, when your data goes missing it¹s user error however, other things
can cause it to disappear.

It's always advised that you backup your data before doing any update...not
just Microsoft updates.
