cant find product key for 2007 office on my cd?

i have just got my free laptop from aol. there was a office 2007 disk in side
the box. when i load it up it is asking for the produck key. all there is on
the cd case is a tracking id with around 13 numbers. the product key is 25
long. i tried entering the product key from the bottom of the laptop but that
dont work either , but i think thats just for windows. can anybody help
plzzzzz

That might be a trial of Office that you got. I would confirm that with AOL.

Even a trial requires activating.
Any key should be with all the paperwork that arrived with your PC
The key on the sticker on the PC is for Win.

Sometimes they do forget to put the sticker with the CD.

And sometimes they put the sticker on the PC as well. I've seen PCs
with *BOTH* the OS and Office keys on stickers on the PC.
