I could do that but I would lose all of the updates probably, and to
download them all again would be really time consuming. I could do
Detect and Repair but the last time I used that, I lost my entire
contact list.
Detect and Repair will never lose your contacts or any other data. It may
appear that way, though, because it might create a new mail profile and/or a
new PST. Your old PST will still be there, however, and you can either
switch back tot he prior mail profile or just ass your old PST to the new
profile.
As to losing updates, it shouldn't be a concern because you can always
download them again.

You're welcome, but no on the cars. I used to when I was younger, back when
there wasn't so much trash under the hood, but it's not worth my time any
more.
