Can't find several past tasks or emails; Outlook 2007?

I can't find several past tasks when searching; I had them and after
installing Outlook 2007 and transfering data many past tasks are gone. Also
lost most of past emails through this same installation process. I've looked
in all archives. Does Outlook 07 have a hidden storage place?
Help?

State clearly how you transferred your data and whether you backed it up.
