Can't get 2004 entorage to recognize old main identity

My Imac drive packed it in this week. I was using 10.2.8 and Microsoft
2001. Apple replace the drive. I was able to save the main account with
all the data. I purchased 10.3.7 and Microsoft 2004, both of which are
installed on the new drive. For the life of me, I can't get Entourage
to recognize the Main Identity from the old hard drive. I can't import
it either. Because of the size of the database file, it seems to me
that the email messages, ect are still there but it will not open. I
tried to export the file but the identity is not recognized. I tried
replacing the new Main identity with the old but it will not open the
new Entourage. Any suggestions? It would be great to get my calendar
events, stored email and address book back. I even hooked up a ibook
with the old version of Microsoft office on it and replaced the main
identify with mine and it still would not open. Thanks in advance.

Under OS 9/Office 2001 the correct location for your identity folder is in:

<Startup Disk:Documents:Microsoft User Data:Office 2001 Identities:

Under OS X/Office vX it's:

~/Documents/Microsoft User Data/Office X Identities/
(where '~/' is your current login's 'Home' directory)

Under OS X/Office 2004 it's:

~/Documents/Microsoft User Data/Office X Identities/
~/Documents/Microsoft User Data/Office 2004 Identities/

Make sure you put your main identity folder in the right place(s).

Then, you need to select 'import' from the file menu in Entourage, use the
'from a programme' option on the first screen and 'entourage 2001 on the
second.

Note you may need to have the 2001 installation CD in the drive in case it
asks for the original programme - having the CD in the drive will do, no
need to re-install it.

I sent the following message a couple of days ago and I am still unable
to access my old mail. I have had an error message come up that is
(-61). Any suggestions?
