can't get email to come in with category colors

I've saved email addresses into my address book and put them into the
correct color coded category I want. I've checked "Automatically match
message categories to senders' cagetories" in Entourage preferences.
The emails are still not coming in with any category assigned to them. What
else can I try?

In General Preferences->Address Book, the last preference needs to be
checked:

...match message categories to sender's categories

As stated in my post I already did that and it doesn't work

Does the email address in the From of the message match exactly what you
have for them in the address book? It should be just the
[email protected], and nothing else.

Have you any rules acting on the messages which assign a different category
(or category 'none')?

Just to clarify, the display name is not important, it can be whatever you
like. The email address is the critical bit - that is what will be matched.

Also check that the recipient's email address only appears once in your
address book, it could be that you have two entries, and have only assigned
the category to one.
