Can't get Entourage running with our Exchange server !!!

I just installed entourage 2004 on my Powerbook running Panther 10.3.5.
in our company we run an exchange server 2000 with latest SP.

In mail.app i still can access my exchange account, however in
Entourage I always get the same error after having set up my exchange
account:

The server can't be found. Be sure the mail server information is
entered correctly in the Account Manager, and that your DNS settings in
the Network Control Panel are correct.

Can someone help me please?

I had a similar problem. Entourage wouldn't find the settings automatically,
and even after I entered them manually it wouldn't recognize the server.
Random doodling led me to a solution. Maybe my solution will work for you.
Here's what I did:

I manually entered all the Exchange server information. I then went to the
"Advanced" pane in the Exchange accounts editing window.

Under "Security," I checked "DAV service requires secure connection (SSL)."
(It appeared to be unchecked by default.) After I did that, Entourage
accessed our institution's Exchange server just fine.

You need to probably have your administrator add the name of your domain
server to your hosts file on your MAC.
