I have been waging battle the mother of all battles with spyware and
viruses.
One of the programs/weapons I used is HijackThis which I suspect
inadvertently selected a registry entry to delete that may have belonged to
Office. I
'm not sure though ?
But now I cant launch Outlook (or any other office application).The error
reads:
"Cannot start Microsoft Outlook. The information store could not be opened."
If I try and launch word or excel etc. then it looks to start downloading
something from the cd which i no longer have. It came installed on a DEll
machine and I am having a hard time finding all the original software cd's.
Any idea on how I should proceed ? The main issue, until I can resolve this
is that I must not lose any of the emails. So for a start I must be able to
backup/save them and restore them.
