Can't get to "Rebuild" screen

I cannot get the "rebuild" dialog box to launch while holding the
option key. Doesn't matter whether I hold option before I launch
Entourage or just after.

Both Microsoft AU Daemon and Database Daemon are running.

Is there another way to invoke the "rebuild" dialog box?

You should quit the daemons before trying to rebuild. Quit any applications
that are running, including virus-protection applications, all Office
applications, Microsoft Messenger for Mac, and Office Notifications, because
they might interfere with rebuilding.

There could be a conflict with another application. Try restarted with Shift
key down to quit remaining processes. Now try to Rebuild Entourage.

Great suggestions. safe boot before rebuilding is a very smart tip for
everyone.

Up to this time, I have always been able to invoke the Rebuild dialog
box without quitting everything or safe rebooting. In my case, I just
needed to see the dialog box to guide someone else through it. I
worked my way through Activity monitor and quit everything one by one.
Turns out "Quicken Scheduler" was the offending application. With that
off and 10 other apps on, I can launch the Rebuild dialog box.

thanks for the tips,

Thanks for the feedback. Some of the strangest things cause problems with
Entourage.

Glad things are fixed for you now.
