Can't import data from Entourage X

Version: 2008
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: intel
Email Client: pop

A client installed Office 2008 and while it installed fine it will not import his data from Entourage X. Is there a fix out for this problem. I noticed a few other people on the web are having the same problem.

You will need to manually move over the data.

How to manually move your data. (when import fails and/or you need to move
to a new Identity same version or revert to an older version)

Really? So there's no fix coming? Microsoft can't import older versions of their own databases?

It's the moving of calendar items that kills me. It will take forever to go through selecting individual calendar items.

Paul Berkowitz's Export Import Script will do what you want. $20.

Another thought is see if Apple Mail will import, then import from Mail into
Entourage.
