Ibook G4, OS 10.3.8, Office X, Expander 9.0
I've just had to do a clean install of my OS on my iBook, and am now
reinstalling Office. I got as far as the main Office progs, but cannot get
the 10.1.6 update to install - all it does is hang at the 'gathering
information' box. I even have to power crash the machine most times, as
Force Quit doesn't work.
I've tried uninstalling Office, turning Virex off completely, and
reinstalling Office before trying the Update. No joy. I've even tried
downloading 10.1.6 via ethernet cable rather than Airport just in case of
transmission glitches.
I need to get this working as I then need to install Handheld Sync for my
Tungsten T3, so any advice would be most welcome.
