Hi, I'm trying to open an excel file over a network created in excel 2000
with excel 2003. The file does contain unsigned macros, but was created
internally and is fine to open. I did change the security for the macros to
medium. When I try to open even the network folder that it is contained in
the open file dialog box closes.
I can find the file on the computer when I'm not in excel, but it always
produces just the gray background in Excel if I try to open it.
I did try to open the file using map a network drive, and can then open the
file just fine, however the person that uses this computer will not be able
to do that easily as he doesn't barely know how to turn the thing on. I
cannot find any other way to open this, and the file doesn't open unless I
repeatedly remap to that drive, or try to open it from the recent file list.
I'm hoping someone will have a suggestion to solve this problem
Thanks,
Mickie
