Can't play movies in PowerPoint 2003

When I insert movies in PP 2003, audio plays fine but the movie image goes
black. They work fine in Windows Media Player 10, but the solution offered
by M'soft in "Troubleshoot Movies" does not work: i.e. when I go to
PowerPoint/Insert/Object/Object Type, "Media Clip" is not listed. Nor can I
find "Insert Clip/Video for Windows" in Media Player 10. Please help!

Try this:
Go to Insert>Object and then select "Windows Media Player". It will insert a
small window of Windows Media Player on your slide. Double click the object
and it will display a pane on the left displaying the properties of the
Object. In URL, type the URL of your video file. for eg. : C:\Data\XYZ\Movie
Files\Assets\Play.avi

When you will start your slideshow, you can play, pause, stop, zoom etc.
your video like in Windows Media Player.
Hope this works for you.
Best of Luck.
