Can't print a merge in Publisher 2003

Merge is completed and preview view looks great but when I go to "print merge" it says I need to reduce the number of pages. OK fine. How many? 348 mailings ( 4 postcards per page), tried al kinds numbers of pages to print 1,4,8,16,24. I keep getting the same usless message "reduce number of pages. Help.

What is the brand and model of your printer you are attempting to print
to???

If you are desperate to get this job printed before we determine what your
problem is, you can do this below:

What you will have to do is print it in batches of around ten pages at a
time.
For example pages:
1 to 10
11 to 20
21 to 30
31 to 40

Depending on the complexity or simplicity of the content on each postcard,
you may need to make the batches less and possibly more. Whatever you do,
do not exceed more than 20 pages at a time.

Have you tried cutting down on the number of records?

I am unable to dupicate your findings. I have set up a postcard page setup
(4 to a page), and using 1500 records, I was able to print them fine. Based
on the information you supplied, this is not a limitation of Publisher. Have
you tried printing the same merge to a different printer? What happens if
you choose the Microsoft Office Document Image Writer printer?
