Can't rebuild data base

Help!

It started with Entourage giving a "Unable to complete operation. Mail
Error." message when I tried to filter the address book with "Company
contains"

Since weird messages like this are usually fixed by rebuilding the data
base, I tried that. What I got was the usual rebuilding dialog box showing
0 of 0 files and Entourage crashing. A complex rebuild gave the same
result.

Any ideas?

Since you are using really old end of life software, how full is your hd?
It's possible you don't have enough room to recover your Identity.

Do you have any backup of your Identity?

You may want to check the current capacity of your hard drive as it is
responsible for storing most of the information on your computer.
