Can't rebuild database

This is strange, it suddenly started happening on 2 machines. When I
option-click Entourage it starts then quits. I never even see the rebuild
window.
I repaired permissions on both machines and verified the disk.

Any idea what's wrong, and why it started happening on 2 machines?

I tried that. Entourage just quits. What should I do next?

- take a backup of the Main Identity folder.(To roll back if something goes
wrong)
- Delete all preference files for Entourage located at
Users\<user>\library\preferences\Microsoft
Entourage Preferences and Entourage Settings.
- Reboot the Mac
- Launch Entourage, it should work.
- If doesn't, trying Typical Rebuild would be useless as it still quits.
then,
- create a new user in Mac
- Log on using this user
- Launch Entourage...Are you able to launch now? You should be able to if
there are some preference or library issues in previous user
- Create a new Identity, configure the profile/account
- If you are able to access your mails with this user, then restore your
Main Identity in same location which we had backed up, for that you may need
to change ownership for new user on that folder/files.
