Can't receive attachments

I am using Entourage 2004 (version 11.2.3) on a Mac (OSX 10.4.10) and can't
receive attachments in any file format (including Word, Excel, efax) on my
IMAP email account. The problem is not with my email account because I can
get the attachments through the webmail interface, so I've concluded that
there must be an Entourage problem.

I had previously been on an Exchange account and had no trouble until I
switched jobs and email accounts. Any ideas?

If there is a message that you know has an attachment, try clicking it and
going to "Receive Entire Message" under the "Message" menu. Does that cause
the attachment to appear? If so, then Entourage isn't receiving the full
message automatically. By default, Entourage downloads the headers of
messages when you click on an IMAP folder and then downloads them fully when
you click the message to read it. If it doesn't seem to be downloading the
messages fully when you open them, go to Tools > Accounts, open your IMAP
account, and click the "Options" tab. Uncheck the option to "Partially
receive messages over __ KB". If you want Entourage to completely download
the messages right away when you open the Inbox rather than when you click
the message, you can also check the option to "Always download complete
message bodies"/"In Inbox only".
