Can't restore Entourage user Emergency!!!

I have Retrospect backing up to an ASIP 6.3.1 server with retrospect 5. I
have backed up my OS 10.3.3 user folder. I am restoring the microsoft
(Office X) user data folder to try to bring back an email account after a
complete rebuild on the machine from scratch. After dragging the attachments
folder ( items inside) to the new attachments folder and replacing the new
main user with the restored main user, the old mail will not show up. It is
only about 70 MB of data. I have come to find out that the account settings
do not reside in this folder but I have entered that manually to get current
mail. I see no permissions issues but the OS X accout use to be a different
name than it is now. How can I restore the email so it shows up in
Entourage? The email account info is the same as it was before. Also where
do the account settings reside? I will only be in for another fcouple of
hours then I'll be back early on Monday.

HI,

I don't think Entourage uses the Attachment folder.
and replacing the new
main user with the restored main user, the old mail will not show up. It is

Tha should have done the trick though :-\
only about 70 MB of data. I have come to find out that the account settings
do not reside in this folder but I have entered that manually to get current
mail.

Well the account settings are in the Entourage database
I see no permissions issues but the OS X accout use to be a different
name than it is now.

Not a problem either.
How can I restore the email so it shows up in

Are you sure you mived the data back at the same relative position as
before ???

The account itself should be located there:
~/Documents/Microsoft User Data/Office X Identities/

And the file that hosts most of the data you need is usually there:
~/Documents/Microsoft User Data/Office X Identities/Main
Identity/Database

Is it the case on the Mac ???

I found the answer myself. I found the fix. After bring back the old
account. You need to extract any mail received since the backup date to a
folder. You can only get Entourage to launch the restored account by dbl.
clicking the mail DB in the restored identity. Then you can bring back the
new mail by dragging it in the mail folders.
