can't retrieve OUTLOOK.PST

Hello,

I was backing up my OUTLOOK.PST file to CD-R when Nero reported a failure,
the disk structure on the CD-R was corrupted and I found the OUTLOOK folder
on my harddrive to be corrupted as well!

When I open the OULOOK folder, there is another OUTLOOK folder in it, and
another OUTLOOK folder in that one, etc., etc.

Therefore I cannot access my OUTLOOK.PST although it is probably intact!

I have tried Norton Disk Doctor from Norton System Works 2002 but it did not
remedy the problem.

Run scanpst.exe against the file and see if it comes up with anything.

scanpst can't run because it can't find OUTLOOK.PST.

The problem is not in OUTLOOK.PST but the OUTLOOK folder which is corrupted.

Can you access it by using the Command window? Start-> Run-> cmd
