Can't save messages offline to outbox when hitting send disconnected

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: Intel
Email Client: Exchange

Whenever I am working offline, I cannot simply click Send and have my messages go to my Outbox for sending later when I am connected. I get prompted to go online, cancel or connect. Please advise as I travel a lot and am on planes disconnected trying to stay current on my email.

You want the "Send Later" button. If you don't have one, you can add it via
View > Customize Toolbar (while viewing a message composition window).

Use "Send Later". You can customize the Toolbar and add the "Send Later"
button.
