Can't see Global Address Book

E

Ed Silha

I have just installed Office for MAC 2004 on my test G4
running OS/X (10.3.5)

I have an Exchange 2003 Server running on Windows 2003
Enterprise Edition. (I am the System Admin)

Entourage gets into my Exchange mailbox etc, but I cannot
see the Global Address Book from Microsoft Exchange.

I entered the info into the DIRECTORY area of the account
setup, I've tried both the fully qualified domain name of
the Exchange Server, I've also tried just the IP address
but I have no Global Address book.

Entourage does access all of the email accounts in my
Contacts list on the Exchange Server.

This must be somehow releated to LDAP, but I don't know
what else to try, LDAP is installed by default as this is
a domain controller (which is a requirement for Exchange
2003 boxes)

Any ideas are appreciated.

Is LDAP enabled on the Exchange server ??

You might have to enter more than that for the LDAP settings. Any special
port ?? Does it require authentication ?.....

Yeah, LDAP is installed by default, but as far as I've been told (I don't
have direct access to an Exchange server myself) LDAP is not necessarily
enabled by default :-\
