Can't see picture but if i click the ForwARD button i can

Hi all

I hav outlook 2003 and win xp pro. I can see the picture in my e-mails but
if i click the forward button to forward the mail i can see the picture. Why
can't i see the picture when i just open the mail? Thanks for the help
