Cannot send an e-mail message from Outlook 2002. Message
hangs in outbox. Checked settings & everything seems
okay. Tried re-booting PC and problem still exists. Can
anyone help? Thanks.

Are you using pop3 are excange server or IMAP Accounts

Are you using anti-virus if so disable and try again, are
you using a router, if so bypass and try,

Really need some additional info as to how you are setup?
Has it worked before?

I have several computers on a small network. All are
using pop3 & CA's InoculateIT anti-virus software. Only
one of the computers cannot send e-mail. All mail is
routed through a mail server using MDaemon v6.03 and then
through a DSL modem. Tried shutting down the anti-virus
but still couldn't send a message. Any ideas?

do you have a firewall running on this system, if it is xp
check for the internal firewall option on the properties
of the connectoid.
there is an update for outlook 20002 if i remember
correctly for this issue, have you ran the updates from
update site?
have you opened the browser to see if the browser has to
be opned to create the connection before outlook will find
the connection, (i have seen this a lot with 2002)

In past instances, I have deleted the email account and
reopened outlook

I'm not using a firewall. This computer did not have WIN
XP SP1 so I'm in the process of upgrading to SP1 & then
installing the latest updates. It didn't seem to matter
if I had the browser open or not. If none of the above
work, I'll try and delete and re-add the e-mail account.
This may take awhile so I probably won't reply again
until after the holiday weekend. Have a great weekend
and thanks again for your help.
