can't send e-mails nor reply

Hello, every one. I am having trouible wity sending e-
mails from outlook for the longest time. Some days it
works just fine, other days I get the message "550 not
local host hotmail.com (or aol.com or whatever), not a
gateway"
What could that mean??? Your help is really appreciated.

You probably need to authenticate to your outgoing server. To set this up,
go to the "Outgoing Server" tab for your account.
