Can't send emails, please help!

I just installed Office v.X onto a brand new G5 running OS X 10.2.7. I
also installed all of the Office updates.

I attempted to import everything from Outlook Express 5.02 on a G4
running OS 9, which has been nothing short of a nightmare.

First it won't import emails, only folders. But most critically, now I
can't send emails easily and I can't send any with attachments.

I deleted the accounts, re-started the application and then re-build
the accounts. That woulld work temporarily, but then I would get a
"connection failure occured" error message and no emails would send.

I've thrown away the identities an re-build from scratch (no import),
then I can send emails, but not with attachments.

I've used the "remove office" feature AND thrown away the "microsoft
user data" folder and still the same problems "connection failure
occured" when I send emails with attachments.

I am sending the emails to multiple addresses, same results.

PLEASE HELP.

Did you try to import from another computer? It's best to drag over the
Identity folder THEN import.

This sounds more like a computer setting than an Entourage problem.

What do you have set in System Preferences for Network? We need more info in
order to help.

What you need to do is a Complex Rebuild in OE before trying to import
anything from it.
