Hi,
I have Outlook 2002 and use a dial-up connection when I'm
at work. I seem to be able to send ok from my hotmail
account using outlook, but not Yahoo, which has an SMTP
server for outgoing mail. The error message
says, "...unable to connect to your outgoing (SMTP)
server. If this problem persists, please contact you
ISP..."etc.. The error code is (0x80042109). I've tried
checking my ports, checking "My outgoing server requires
authentication..", and also trying to ad 1470 onto my
dialup number (because my work place withholds their
number). But all to no avail. When testing the settings,
it says that the server was found but no reply.
Any suggestions would be gratefully received! Thanks, ANu
