Can't send with Entourage

Hi, all,
I just started using Entourage with the new MacBook Pro I just bought.
I bought the Office for Macs within the last month, so I'm assuming I'm
using the latest of everything out there. I had used the mac mail
program, but switched over to Entourage when I loaded Office on, but
now I find that I can't send anything with it. it seems to receive
just fine; in fact, i found all my mac messages imported over. but
everytime I go to send a message, I get the error notice that Entourage
can't connect to the Internet. I've checked all my settings and they
seem to be correct (they're the same as the mac mail ones), but nothing
works to correct this. Can anyone help? Thanks!

Most likely you are not running the latest update. Install CDs are not
updated when new builds are released. The latest version of Entourage is
11.2.6

To ensure you are using the latest update, select "Check for Updates" under
Help in the menu bar. I suggest setting this to automatic. This will work
for Microsoft Office like Software Update does for Apple apps.

Send & Receive problems can be complex to solve, but generally these
solutions apply:

If you can receive but not send then you have a bad SMTP configuration

If you can send but not receive you have a bad POP or IMAP configuration

1. You can try re-entering info.
2. You can delete account and create a new one.
3. Using copy/paste can result in an extra space being added. Type
carefully.
4. Check your Keychain for corruption.

Note: A common mistake is to mistype SMTP.

If you are still having problems, try using tcpflow to check traffic between
Entourage and your ISP.
